Terms of Service
Mental Health First Aid, The Working Mind, Psychological Health & Safety
We strive not to reschedule our classes.
As per Mental Health Commission of Canada standards, we require a minimum of 8 people to attend the MHFA course.
All registered participants are required to attend their scheduled courses. No-shows put the class at risk of being cancelled, which is disruptive and unfair to other participants. To avoid this inconvenience, we have a strict policy of charging a no-show fee ($75). To avoid the no-show fee, contact us within 5 business days before your scheduled course.
MHCC attendance standards classify the following as no-shows:
(1) Absence from more than 30 minutes of the scheduled class time, (2) Not completing Module 1 prior to attending the class session (applicable to MHFA: Youth only), (3) Should a participant be dismissed due to a violation of class expectations, a rescheduling fee of $75 will be applied.
We strive to make our virtual classes as close to an in-person experience as possible. This includes expecting participants to engage as they would in a traditional classroom setting.
Cameras are required to be on during virtual training sessions.
We understand that exceptions may arise. Therefore, cameras may only be turned off with explicit permission from the moderator or facilitator. This policy serves several important purposes. First, it helps us verify your attendance and active participation in the class. As iMindify is legally responsible for your well-being during the class, we need to ensure all participants are in a safe environment. Additionally, seeing your fellow participants helps to foster a more connected and fun learning environment for everyone.
We reserve the right to withhold training and/or dismiss participants who we believe are not actively present in the class.
Should a participant be dismissed due to a violation of class expectations, a no-show fee ($75) will be charged for rescheduling. This includes, but isn't limited to, instances where a participant:
Does not have their camera on and/or…
Fails to respond or participate in the chat box discussions.
Does not attend breakout room sessions.
Does not respond to verbal prompts from the moderator or facilitator.
Operating a moving vehicle.
Classes are non-refundable.
We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances can arise. The MHFA certification course is non-refundable but transferrable.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled class, please give us a minimum of 5 business days' notice. This will allow us to transfer you to another class at no additional cost.
If a class is rescheduled, we will inform you immediately. Please note that we cannot and do not provide refunds in such cases. However, we will transfer you to a class of your choice. We can also suggest make-up classes that have a low probability of being rescheduled.
Why are classes non-refundable?
Access codes (or in some cases, seats) are purchased by the facilitator from the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC). Access codes/seats are registered to the participant and the certificate they will receive from the MHCC.
